On behalf of the new Executive team, I welcome all newcomers to the Valley.
Our next meeting will be held on
MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2017
Now is the time for something new! Try that interesting activity or start up a conversation with someone you have never met before, someone looking for the same energy and new experiences in the Comox Valley.
Each of us came here to begin a new phase of our lives. It's a place to get out into nature, enjoy the sights and sounds of the many waterfalls, rivers, lakes and the Salish Sea. The trails to explore are seemingly endless, in a good way…, and the walking and cycling groups and all the other activities bring a new type of companionship. Leisurely lunches organized each month help you explore new restaurants while getting to know others in attendance; “appy" nights or coffee meetings at the homes of fellow Newcomers will get you out to new neighbourhoods to explore the area while enjoying each other’s company.
For many of us, the Newcomers Club has helped us transition into a new place. We are a large network of women who continue to learn new things, explore our surroundings together, or simply enjoy each other’s company from time to time. After two or three years, if you choose, you may join our Newcomer’s Alumnae, which is open to all Newcomer members in good standing. There are so many of us "newcomers" in the Valley, two alumnae groups have been formed to accommodate the number of members staying connected over the years. We have some activities in partnership with the Alumnae so you will meet some of these ladies as well.
